If you have a rectangular pipe, the higher the internal diameters of the sections, the more force you will need to apply to keep the ball from falling off. A tapered or graduated bushing will help keep the balls in place. You should use a pipe wrench to do the job. To fix angled or curved pipes, you need a different pipe wrench.


And if you have bent piping, then you will need to do the job using a bent tee. Again, the angle of the tee will determine how much force you need to apply. Once you have determined this, then you need to make sure that you place the tee ball on the pipe so that it will be directly over the bend. You should make sure that the tee is level.
