(light horiz. creasing near top) uprated with Sitting Helvetia 25c Green tied by mainly fine 2-ring "ST. ORSANNE" cds to a Convict ("Justin Bourguard") in Noumea with Brindisi & Sydney (9 Oct.) backstamps, but address crossed through and endorsed "Voir au dos" (see reverse) on the front because the Convict to whom the letter is addressed had died in May 1876 ("Decede 15 Mai 1876" signed by the Prison Quartermaster). Rare thus.
